Join Californians for the Arts and our San Benito County Arts Council Executive Director, Jennifer Laine, on Thursday, August 6th at 1 pm on Zoom for a Central CA Regional Conversation.
This 60 minute session will provide arts leaders with an opportunity to address the current status of arts and culture in your region. What are you doing to pivot, adapt and re-imagine your programs and business models while we are unable to reopen at full capacity? What financial resources have you been able to access or hope to access? Are there issues specific to your region you want the statewide comprehensive arts and culture advocacy organization to know about as we represent you to lawmakers in Sacramento and Washington D.C.?
Each conversation will include updates on state and federal advocacy with special guests to be announced. You will have a chance to share ideas, questions and concerns with the Californians for the Arts team, and most importantly each other as the situation continues to evolve.
There is great uncertainty in our field about how and when to reopen safely and effectively and how we as a sector can adapt. Hearing from one and other is vital as we strategize best practices and the future of our industry in the age of COVID-19. Many of us are dealing with canceled seasons, empty spaces, the collapse of earned and even contributed revenue and public health concerns that will linger into 2021. This is a great opportunity to speak with others in the field about how this is impacting us and how we can and will come through this together.
Central CA Regional Conversation featured presenters include:
Jennifer Laine, Executive Director, San Benito County Arts Council, Californians for the Arts Board Member
Cara Coger, Executive Director, Mariposa Arts Council, Californians for the Arts Board Member
