The San Benito County Arts Council’s Arts in Education Program aims to create first-rate, diverse and accessible learning opportunities in the arts for residents in San Benito County.  We accomplish this through two main programs: our Artists in the Schools Program and Regranting Program.

Artists in the Schools enriches students’ learning experiences by bringing the arts directly into the schools.  There are two main services that we provide to schools through this program:  cultural assemblies and artists-in-residencies.  By partnering with artists, teachers, administrators, PTOs and other artistic and educational organizations we are able to leverage the resources we have to help make this vision a reality.

Our Regranting Program focuses on distributing funds to arts-related organizations that have a special focus on arts education.  We receive funds from larger organizations, such as the Community Foundation for San Benito County and the California Arts Council, which are then re-directed towards other local nonprofits to help them achieve their own arts-related programs and projects.  Past regranting recipients include the E-Cubed Foundation, Art4Change and the Aromas Home and School Club, amongst others.
