The San Benito County Office of Education and the San Benito County Arts Council are currently accepting artwork submissions from local students, grades Pre-K to 12, in all media for a countywide art showcase on Thursday, February 15. Students are encouraged to enter paintings, drawings, sculpture, mixed-media and literary art pieces. Entry forms are available for download below or at the County Office of Education and Arts Council’s offices. Additionally, they may be picked up at local school sites. Entries must be submitted to the SBCOE office at 460 Fifth Street no later than 4:45 PM, February 9. Students, families and community members are invited to attend this free event, “The World Around Me: Celebrating Diversity in the Arts,” from 5-7 pm, February 15th, at the Hollister Veterans Memorial Building in downtown Hollister. The showcase will include an exhibition of visual and literary art, as well as live student performances in dance, music & theater.
